The IC697BEM711 is a bus receiver module (BRM) in the 90-70 series.
The module features a high-speed parallel bus expansion interface that can be easily expanded from the mainframe to up to seven additional IC697 PLC racks with interconnect cables up to 50 feet long. This ability to scale makes the system configuration more flexible and can adapt to a variety of complex industrial automation needs. In addition, the IC697BEM711 comes with convenient configuration software that does not require a DIP switch. The module has a maximum weight of only 4 pounds and has a slot with two connectors that need to be installed in slot 1 at all times.
In terms of status indication, the IC697BEM711 uses leds to indicate the continuous status of the module, the rack, and the presence of the required I/O bus terminator plug.
